your choice of place to stay in Kota Kinabalu,
try travelers or
backpackers lodge. Almost all of the lodges situated in the city
center. It would be very easy for you to go around in the
city as
most of the important places is just a walking distance away. The
easiest way to get to most of the lodges from the airport is by taxi.
It would cost you RM10 to RM15 from the airport.
Public
transportation
is also easy to get, as there are a lot of buses and taxis around. You
may have to use it when you want to go to the main bus station to get a
transport to Kinabalu Park HQ.

Lodge Kota Kinabalu
Trekkers Lodge Kota Kinabalu (TLKK)is within walking distances (about
5-10 minutes) to supermarkets, cinemas, fast food restaurant, banks,
taxi & inter state bus stations and Gaya Street - the venue for
the
weekly Sunday market.
To go there from the Airport, go to the main road and catch the bus
"Kota
Kinabalu". Get off at City
Hall. Head towards Wisma Merdeka and you can
see our large red sign board before you cross the road to Wisma Merdeka. Or you could give them your flight details after you have booked and
they will arrange a FREE airport pick up for you.
Borneo
Global Backpackers
Borneo Global Backpackers are within walking distance to banks,
government offices, airlines
offices, food outlets, shopping malls and entertainment outlets.
They are just 15 minutes to Kota
Kinabalu
International Airport
and 8
minutes to the Tanjung Aru Beach by road transport. They are
also
very near to
State Museum and Queen Elizabeth General Hospital (within 10 mins of
walk).
Only 8 minutes by bus to the Tanjung Aru Beach from the hostel. (There
is a bus stand in front of the hostel).
North
Borneo Cabin
North Borneo Cabin is located in a very close proximity to
shopping and entertainment centers,
restaurants and financial district with easy access to public transport
such as coach & ferry terminal.
They are only 3 minutes walk to
the
tourist information center which is
located in Gaya Street; A historic site with weekly Sunday Bazaar that
will offer you an insight to the local cultures.
Xplorer
Backpackers
Xplorer Backpackers are ideally in the heart of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
They are within walking distance express bus terminals and
ferry
terminals if you are coming from the islands.
They are just fifteen minutes ride from Kota Kinabalu
International Airport.
They also offer free airport pickup (upon arrival only).
Akinabalu
Youth Hostel
If you comes from the airport or train station, you have to go
the
main road and catch a bus
to Kota
Kinabalu, get off at city
hall and walk about 2 minutes to
Jalan
Gaya (Gaya Street).
If you comes from ferry terminal, just walk down to the south and find
Jalan Gaya. Akinabalu Youth Hostel is just about 5 minutes walking
distance to
nearest taxi and bus station.

FROM AIRPORT: F-R-E-E Airport arrival transfer with minimum 2 nights
stay. Advance booking required.
FROM LONG DISTANCE BUS TERMINAL: 10 minutes walk towards city center
and Central Police Station along Town Padang (Independence Field).
FROM BRUNEI / LABUAN / TAR Ferry Terminal: You have to take a right
turn and walk
towards city center along Jalan Pantai (Beach Road) passing Grand Port
View Restaurant and Standard Chartered Bank. Turn left right after RHB
Delta Bank and walk straight ahead. We are right in front of the
round-a-bout. Total approximately 16 minutes walk.
The
Beach Lodge
The Beach Lodge is located comfortably in the vicinity of Sugarbun
Beach Street, (A 24hrs
local fast food chains) where cultural performances available nightly
for tourist & local visitors alike.
The Beach Lodge is within walking distance (about 3-5 minutes) to
supermarkets, cinemas, fast food restaurants, banks, taxi &
inter
state bus stations and Gaya Street - the venue for the weekly Sunday
market.

Adventure Center
Borneo Adventure Centre is 15 minutes away from Kota Kinabalu
International Airport. It's a
straight highway from Airport to the Hotel. It is located in
the
center of the city and just beside us is the Bus station, Taxi stand
and Central Padang. You could request for airport pick up at no cost.
